Inspirational vows by
Ven. Arayawangso Bhikku

• To adorn the Earth in Dhamma with all the strengths in my two hands;


• To return, with humbleness, the glory of Buddhism to Jambu-dvipa;


• To raise the banner of the Wheel of Dhamma ere the end of my time;


• To uphold the heritage of the Lord Buddha’s Teachings in his homeland.


• During childhood, I was strongly trained in practice of Buddhism by devout forest monks


• Desired to visit various Buddha’s Sacred places since my youth


• Vision from Sareeputra Thera commanding me to revive Buddhism in Jampu-Dvipa


• Pledged to stay in monkshood for life


• Sadness to see non-Buddhists disrespectfully mistreating and seizing hold of Buddhist sacred sites. All these lead to the intention to work with local Buddhists to claim those sacred sites back


• Work with people in Maharashtra and other areas to revive and strengthen Buddhism
